At sunset Ingolf paced around his room
The guest chamber door slowly swung open
In stepped Glumra, King Godmund's daughter
carrying a bag filled with crushed leaves
she gave it to him with this warning
"If ever you drink from a golden horn
with a man's face engraved upon it
add these leaves before you drink"
With these words she kissed his lips
and turned and scurried from Ingolf's room.
Ingolf felt drowsey and went to sleep
thinking no more of what she had said
Late that evening as Sigroed went to bed
Godmund's daughter Jarnsax came to him
bringing a vial filled with purple liquid
putting it in his hand, she instructed him
"If ever you encounter a marble fountain
with the image of a dolphin built thereon
mix the water you drink with this liquid
and you'll be safe from the spells therein."
With these words she kissed his cheek
then scurried outside and was seen no more.
Sigroed placed the vial in his knapsack
and went to sleep and began to snore
That night as Throndar lay sleeping
inside his private guestchamber
Godmund's daughter Amgerth
knocked on his door, he let her inside
She brought him a shining blue stone
mounted on a golden ring and put on his finger
She said "If ever you are in a place
where this saphire starts to turn black
Be sure you and your friends depart from that place
and get as far away from it as you can."
With these words she kissed him on the
forehead and scurried out of the room
