Godmund and six of his sons joined Gorm
Thistlbard Oskruth, Thrigeit, Rangbein
Hvalr and Salfang rounded out the group.
Jatmund, Svipdag, Fridleif and Hromund
Buchi, Hrafn and Orm were the Danes
who'ld remain behind at Godmund's palace
and so the ship set out for the south
to the kingdom of Geiroth called Jotunheim

Favourable winds drive the ship south until they reach
a large Island off the coast of Geiroth's kingdom
there they send ashore a group of five to look for water
Sigroed,Hroerek, Ragnar, Ulf and Dag are assigned the task

They wandered through the jungle until they come upon
a marble fountain with a dolphin carved upon it
The five warriors filled up the flasks they had brought with them
with fountain water, and being thirsty, they drank some water

The sky suddenly opened up
five warrior maidens appeared
riding on the backs of silver dragons
each maiden carried a large net
which she tried to use for
capturing one of the five Danes

Sigroed thought of the vial
of purple liquid Godmund's daughter
Jarnsax had given to him
He mixed the puple liquid
with the fountain water and drank
suddenly the maidens began to fade

Sigroed began to feel dizzy
unable to stand he fell down
when the the dizzyiness left him
he rose to his feet and saw
that the maidens were all gone
and his companions no where in sight.
