against the state of Rome

now Rome must wage
war on two fronts
Mithradates collects an army
of a hundred and fifty thousand
and invades Bithynia
Roman forces in that region
try to stop Mithradates
and loses 3000 men
Those who survive the battle
flee to Chalcedon
which the king beseiges
