The Castle Cruel

Ragnald wandered along the shore
until he came to a rocky cliff
an ancient castle stood thereon
surrounded by a thick grey mist

Ragnald ascended the cliff
until he reached the castle's gate
It swung open and he went in
not knowing what would be his fate

In the courtyard a maiden was tied to a stake
beside her stood a knight with a whip
around them stood seven more armed knights
the maiden screamed and begged them for mercy

Ragnald shouted that they should her go
The knights laughed and challenged him to fight
Ragnald charged intending to do battle
suddenly the ground gave out under him

Ragnald plummetted downwards
into a very deep pit
It took quite a long while
before the ground he did hit
Ragnald lay unconscious
captured like a fool
He was now a prisoner
in the Castle Cruel
