The Flight of Angelique

The following morning all assembled to
watch the mighty Agrikhan joust the stranger
When Argalia didn't show, he grew impatient
He proclaimed before all, conquest by default

to search for him, not knowing that
he had been slain, the previous night

When the thrall returned, he brought the news
whispering in her ear, Argalia was dead
Angelique excused herself, and made her way
to Sacripant's tent, seeking his aid

Angelique told Sacripant, to protect her
so that she not become Agrican's bride
they must make their way, to the stables
and for her homeland, they must ride

Orlando was in the stables
checking on his horse
when Sacripant and Angelique
made their escape
He mounted Brigliodaro
and rode off in pursuit,
hoping to capture them
and make Angelique his own
