The Garden of Delights

The ship landed on a sandy beach
three maidens came out to meet it
scantily clad with flowers in their hair
they led Ragnald ashore

They brought him to a fertile garden
where a sumptuous feast was prepared
whilst he partook in food and drink
they sang and danced for him

Ragnald asked the maidens
why he'd been brought there
they answered him
it was their mistress' wish

Ragnald asked the maidens they told him that
her name was Angelique

Then Angelique appeared
begged him to be her lord
Ragnald rose in anger
and unsheathed his sword
threatening her with death
if she came too near
he made his escape
left Angelique in tears
